At Homeward Bound Dog Co., we believe dogs are family. We provide thoughtful wedding-day handling and personalized private pet care built around each dog’s routine, comfort and safety. Whether your dog is joining a celebration or needs boarding, overnight, in-home, hotel or Airbnb care, we plan the details so you can feel confident they are in good hands.

Our Story

Homeward Bound Dog Co. grew from years of hands-on dog experience and a simple idea: people should not have to choose between including their dog and enjoying an important day. What began with wedding support has expanded into private care for dogs whose people are traveling, celebrating or simply need dependable help. Today, we serve Traverse City, Grand Rapids and communities across Northern and West Michigan with flexible plans for wedding handling, boarding, transportation and care at the dog’s location.

With over 20 years of experience in dog training, care, and handling, Alyssa knows how to make sure dogs are happy, calm, and camera-ready for your big day. Whether it’s coordinating with the venue or ensuring your pup is perfectly groomed, Alyssa ensures no detail is missed.
