At-home pet sitting, Traverse City · July 12, 2025
For Shaina and Janelle, the right wedding-day plan was keeping Zoey and Skye comfortable at home. Both dogs were anxious around crowds, so Alyssa cared for them while the couple enjoyed their wedding day and evening. A meet and greet two weeks beforehand helped the dogs get familiar with her, followed by walks, playtime, feeding and attention on the day.

How we helped
- Meet and greet two weeks before the wedding
- Pet sitting in the dogs’ own home
- Walks, playtime, feeding and companionship

Thank you so much for tending to Zoey and Skye on our wedding day!
I reached out to Alyssa to see if she would be interested in pet sitting for a few hours to give our pups the mental and physical stimulation they need. These two are a bit too anxious for crowds of people and I did not want to distract ourselves or family on our special day.
Two weeks prior to our event, we setup a meet and greet so they were familiar with her. Upon meeting, both dogs quickly warmed up to Alyssa! However, Zoey (full bred cattle dog/blue heeler) can be a bit temperamental with her sitters by showing her teeth and refusing commands. Skye (Australian shepherd, red heeler, border collie) just needs some frisbee time 😂. Knowing Alyssa has breed specific knowledge put us at ease.

We knew our fur babies were in good hands, and we will definitely be reaching out in the future for any pet sitting needs! Thank you so much Alyssa!
