Kristen and Aaron wanted both of their dogs at their wedding: a social golden retriever and a rescue Belgian Malinois who was fearful around new people. Alyssa learned their routines and needs in advance. On the day, Alyssa and Aubrey each walked one dog down the aisle, helped with photos and kept the dogs comfortable. Afterward, Alyssa brought both dogs home for evening care and sent photo updates.

In their words

Alyssa with Homeward Bound Dog Company is truly one of the best vendors I hired for my wedding! Never in a million years did I think I’d be able to include my two fur babies in our special day, especially because one of my dogs is a rescue who is extremely fearful and timid around new people. When I came across Alyssa on Facebook, I reached out hoping she could help make my dream a reality. From our very first conversation, I knew my dogs would be in the best hands. She took the time to learn everything about them including their personalities, routines, fears, and needs before ever meeting them, so she could care for them in the best way possible. It was obvious how much she genuinely cares about every dog she works with.

On our wedding day, Alyssa and her assistant Aubrey were absolutely incredible. They met us at our venue and handled everything seamlessly. They knew exactly how to work with both of my dogs from my friendly & social golden retriever to my timid & fearful belgian malinois. They came prepared with treats, toys, and endless patience, making sure the dogs were comfortable the entire time. She even helped them pose for the most adorable photos!

Alyssa and her assistant each walked one of my dogs down the aisle, and I couldn’t have imagined it going any better. They were professional, kind, outgoing, and completely put my mind at ease.

What amazed me the most was how comfortable my rescue dog was with Alyssa. Outside of close family, she has never really let anyone else handle her. By the end of the day, she willingly got into Alyssa’s car, ate her dinner (big win!), and settled in comfortably. Alyssa brought both dogs back to my house after the ceremony, fed them, took them outside to potty, and made sure they were tucked in for the night. She even sent me photos of them happily enjoying their evening, so I could enjoy the rest of my wedding without worrying about them. That meant more to me than I can put into words.

Alyssa truly helped bring one of my biggest wedding dreams to life. Having my dogs included in our big day was something I will cherish forever, and I am so incredibly grateful for the love, care, and dedication she showed them.

Thank you a million times over, Alyssa! If you’re considering having your dogs be part of your wedding, I cannot recommend Homeward Bound Dog Company enough. It was one of the best decisions we made, and I would book Alyssa again in a heartbeat 🐾🤍
